We shouldn’t forget about people with some chronic illnesses such as diabetes or celiac disease. They always have limits with food. Diabetics cannot eat sugared food, so sweets and polvorones are forbidden for them. On the other hand, celiac people don’t tolerate gluten, a substance found in wheat-flour.

However, our desire is everyone could eat no matter their diseases. That’s why we thought about making different polvorones, some without sugar, and others made not with wheat-flour but with corn-flour. So now, in spite of tasting different, celiac and diabetics, both can enjoy the wonderful products we offer. 

To distinguish easily these types of polvorones from others, we have named them depending on the three first letters of the disease. For celiac, the name of their polvorones begin with CEL- (CELIA, CELESTINO, CELTA), and for diabetics begin with DIA- (DIANA, DIONISIO, DIANDRO).

Achieving these polvorones changing the typical ingredients and trying to keep good taste at the same time suppose a great difficulty, but we can assure you will feel the taste of chocolate and almonds, coffee and hazelnuts, blackberry and pine nuts, etc... MMMMM!!!

  3. Es importantísimo pensar en las personas con necesidades dietéticas especiales. Gracias por tenerlo en cuenta en vuestro proyecto y además, con esa creatividad al "bautizar" los polvorones. ¡Bravo!
    Os doy otra idea: polvorones para personas alérgicas. Ahí es cuestión de listar los ingredientes en el envoltorio y en la cajita.
